Tom’s Commercial, Inc. Is Committed to the Highest Level of Employee Safety

At Tom’s Commercial, Inc., the safety of our employees is our number one priority. We have established a work culture of safe practices based on collaboration between management and employees. This opens up communication and allows for non-judgmental discussions on industry safety standards, expectations, and best practices. We encourage our employees to come to us with any safety concerns or suggestions they may have, and we work to make sure all of our team members are empowered to be active in safety measures.

A big part of our commitment to safety is employee training. We require our installation managers to have OSHA 10 training. This is a voluntary training provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and led by approved trainers. The 10-hour course empowers employees by informing them of industry safety standards, as well as their rights in the workplace. OSHA 10 promotes hands-on training that is specifically tailored to the needs of a given industry—in our case, the commercial HVAC industry.

In addition to completing the mandatory OSHA 10 training, our installation managers attend weekly toolbox talks, provide regular vehicle inspection reports, and participate in monthly safety meetings.
